Pupils are today celebrating a 100% pass rate in their A Levels this summer - the fifth successive year that the School has achieved this impressive statistic.
Results included the best A*/A percentage ever with virtually half of all the exams taken (48.2%) gaining this top level, which is up 6.9% on last year and significantly above the national average*.
The A*-B percentage was also the best on record with over two thirds (68.7%) of the grades being in this category.
A number of students gained outstanding sets of results, notably Riya Patel, Zhong Yi Mai, Gemma Rate and Head of School, Emily Morgan.
Riya gained A*s across the board in mathematics, further mathematics and chemistry, easily securing her place at Birmingham to read Accounting and Finance. Zhong Yi’s five As with an A at AS Level notched up a huge 660 UCAS points, meaning she will now move to King’s College London to study biomedical science. Gemma got two A*s, one A and a B and Emily had two A*s and an A.
Headmaster, Adrian Meadows, is once again delighted with the results: “I congratulate all our students, whose combined efforts mean the School is able to celebrate wonderful results yet again. Having all the students passing all their exams for five years in succession is exceptional and testament to their hard work, the love of learning which is instilled here and the high standard of teaching throughout”.
