National Indoor Rowing Champions
Pupils achieved great success at the National Indoor Rowing Championships again this year. Held at Birmingham's National Indoor Arena, five teams from The Peteborough School competed and we came away with one team Gold and three Silvers.
Pupils achieved great success at the National Indoor Rowing Championships again this year. Held at Birmingham's National Indoor Arena, five teams from The Peteborough School competed and we came away with one team Gold and three Silvers.
The Boys' J11 squad of Edward Hill (captain), Max Fisher, Jack Gilbert, Rohit Sunku and Joseph Rome were crowned National Champions after their 2000m race.
Silvers were won by:
The J11 Girls' team of Tomi Kehinde (captain), Upasana Das, Fern Easton, Sophie Hobday and Hannah Parker
The J12 Boys' team of Michael Heys (captain), William Coulson, Rohan Khosla, Rhys Barnwell and Jackson van Uden and
The J12 Girls' team of Tukiya Mukutuma (captain), Robyn Chapman-Burn, Paige Harris, Abigael Lucas and Sophie Leggot
Many congratulations to everyone who took part and represented the School so well, especially the reserves who travelled and supported their team colleagues brilliantly.
Congratulations also go to May Firoozmand, Emma Heys and Eloise Austin, who also competed at Birmingham representing Peterborough Rowing Club.
