Teddies in School for Picnic

About 70 children from The Peterborough School Nursery, The Learning Tree Nursery, the Husaini Pre-school and the School Reception Classes brought their teddies in to School for a picnic in glorious sunshine last week. The event was organised to help with the pre-schoolers' tranisitions up to Reception Class in September.
The children started by taking part in some 'getting to know you' games, including hurdling, skipping, sack racing and ball throwing while the teddies watched from the sidelines. Then everyone joined together for a fabulous and well-earned picnic lunch and drinks on the lawns outside the Refectory Gallery.
Event organiser and Reception Class teacher, Lindsey Boyle, was delighted to see such a large number of children having a wonderful time: “All the children who brought their bears and soft toys to see us today had a really great time. It was a great opportunity for the children to make new friends and have lots of fun as they prepare for their move up to school”.
